5th Week of Silence

I wrapped up week 5 of my “silence” by attending an annual Halloween party. And what did I dress up as…any guesses???  That’s right folks, a mime!  If I knew how easy it was to remain silent without explanation or exception, I would have channeled my inner mime from day 1!  This was the one night people truly appreciated my charades  :)

As my “Six Weeks of Silence” wind down I can’t help but feel like the time has flown by.  The first few weeks were rough as it was a huge adjustment to my very loud lifestyle.  But today I am feeling very positive, and I am hoping that my optimism reflects the long awaited results from my ENT this Thursday.

I also want to take this time to thank you for following me on this journey of healing and reflection and for all of your kind and encouraging words.  I will keep you posted in my last update and I hope I come bearing good news.

Have a safe and happy Halloween.  And, if you want a good excuse to remain silent for a night, grab your face paint, grab your stripes and gloves, and “mime” it up 😉

p.s. If you choose to be a mime, take my advice and don’t buy $1 makeup.  Not only was my face on fire as I was applying the paint, but it was cracking and falling off all night.  I became known as “the creepy Joker mime” instead of the sweet mime you know I am :)  However, if this is your goal, then discount paint it the way to go!  Ha, Ha :)
